Gurugram: Minor pregnant, tells mother she was raped twice

GURUGRAM: A 45-year-old man was arrested for allegedly raping a 15-year-old girl twice. The girl's parents lodged a police complaint after they came to know that she was three months pregnant.
The accused was identified as Noor Mohammad, a resident of Khandsa village in Sector 37 and a private firm employee. He would come to get his clothes ironed at a stall run by the girl's mother. The police said they received a complaint from the girl's mother on Friday. She alleged that around five months ago, the accused had come to her stall to get his clothes ironed.
When she asked for money, Noor allegedly told her to come home and collect it. The girl's mother sent her daughter to his house, but Noor overpowered her and raped her. He then threatened the girl with dire consequences if she told anyone about the assault.
"He raped her twice and told her he would kill her parents if she opened her mouth. What could my daughter do?" she sobbed.
A police officer said the man raped the girl the second time when her mother had to go to her village and the teenager was managing the stall. "The accused took her to his house again and raped her," the officer said.
"When the girl's mother returned home, her daughter complained about a pain in the abdomen. When she was taken to a hospital for treatment, doctors found that she was three months pregnant," the officer. Noor was picked up from his house after the girl's mother lodged the complaint. A case under Section 6 of the Pocso Act and relevant provisions of the IPC was registered against him.
