Two women were arrested on Saturday for allegedly misbehaving with a guard at Ajnara Homes society in Noida’s Sector 121, police said, adding that they are looking for a third woman allegedly involved in the incident.
A video of the incident purportedly shows a woman holding a guard by the collar and throwing his cap away, ignoring his requests to stop, while another woman films the incident.
Guards at the society alleged the women were under the influence of alcohol.

ADCP (Central) Saad Miya Khan said, “Some women had misbehaved with guards at the society. An NCR (non-cognizable report) was filed under IPC sections 323 (voluntary hurt) and 504 (insult to provoke breach of peace). Two of them were arrested under CrPC Section 151 (arrest to prevent cognizable offence).” Police also said a medical examination of the guard had been conducted.
Police said the arrested women were produced before the Executive Magistrate, adding that the third woman would be arrested soon. Ujjwal Shukla, one of the guards who was present at the spot, alleged, “The three women were inebriated… They were stopped around midnight on Friday since their car did not have the requisite sticker. They misbehaved with the guard there, and when the rest of us came, they misbehaved with us too.”
When contacted, a member of the Ajnara Homes Apartment Owners Association, said, “We have zero tolerance for such incidents in the society… they (two of the women) had been living here as tenants for four months. We are enquiring as to whether they have been involved in any incident in the society before.”
Several prior incidents of residents assaulting guards have been reported in Noida recently. On Wednesday, a scuffle broke out between a guard and residents after he allegedly refused to chase off a dog in Sector 74’s Supertech Capetown. On September 11, a woman allegedly slapped a guard after her RFID entry failed in Sector 121’s Cleo County and was arrested. In August, Noida Police arrested a woman for allegedly misbehaving with security guards and assaulting one of them at Jaypee Wishtown in Sector 128.
