RAJKOT: A traffic police inspector posted in Surat was booked in Surendranagar for allegedly stalking a married woman who he had been forcing for a relationship.
Yashpal Gohil was booked by the Surendranagar B-division police following a complaint lodged by the woman.
It is alleged that Gohil used to send vulgar pictures and videos and indecently morphed photos to the woman and several people known to her. He had also threatened to kill her if she did not give in to his demands.
HP Doshi, deputy superintendent of police, Surendrangar said, "The investigation has been handed over to a circle police inspector and we are collecting more evidence."
According to the sources, Gohil was booked under relevant IPC sections pertaining to stalking and sections of Information Technology Act.
