'Bharat jodo': PM's name will be etched in golden letters for peace, development in northeast India, says Amit Shah
Home minister Amit Shah while addressing a mammoth gathering of party workers here on Saturday said that those who want to unite India should look at northeast India, which is an example of ‘Bharat jodo’ through peace and development brought by PM Narendra Modi for which his name will be written in golden letters whenever historians write the history of the region.
GUWAHATI: Home minister Amit Shah while addressing a mammoth gathering of party workers here on Saturday said that those who want to unite India should look at northeast India, which is an example of ‘Bharat jodo’ through peace and development brought by PM Narendra Modi for which his name will be written in golden letters whenever historians write the history of the region.
Tearing into Congress, Shah said, “In 1962 during the war with China, Nehru said ‘bye bye Assam.’ After that Congress forgot the existence of northeast as a part of India despite the fact that the size of northeast is three times that of UP.”
“During Congress rule there was a process of breaking India in the northeast and Congress witnessed it silently until Modi ji stepped in to stop the disintegration and started the unification. Whoever wants to unite India, peace and development in the northeast is an example of how who unite the country without a single speech,” Shah said.
Saluting the people of the northeast for their patriotism by making the Har Ghar Trianga mission a success, Shah said, “For Modi ji’s bharat jodo mission in northeast, whenever historians write the history of northeast, they will be compelled to write Modi ji’s and BJP’s names in golden letters.”
