Vasco police book 37 taxi drivers for illegal parking

Vasco: Vasco police booked 37 taxi operators on Friday for parking in the no-parking zone at the Dabolim international airport.
“In connection with illegal plying of white taxis and rent-a-cab parking dangerously in the no-parking zone on the NH17B, from Dabolim international airport to Varunapuri Mangor-Hill, a total of 37 taxi drivers were booked under relevant sections of the Indian Police Act and the Motor Vehicles Act,” said Vasco PI Kapil Nayak.
Nayak further said that similar special drives will be conducted in the future too as a preventive measure in order to avoid any untoward incidents among taxi operators at Dabolim international airport.
