Bowling: Holliday, Dean both roll perfect games
Corey Holliday was perfect in the PHL Early 4 Man league for his first 300 game. Jon Dean picked up his second 300 game, both having now been accomplished in Cowboys & Indians at Port Huron Lanes. Dean finished with a 733 series. Two others were perfect through 11 shots as Pat McCormick had a 299 game in Blue Water Men at St. Clair River Lanes and TJ Klein had 296 in Friday Wanna Bees at Port Huron Lanes.
Jessica Heilig was consistently very good in Saturday Nite Bridge with games of 227, 222 and 224 to post the women's high series of the week at 673. Amanda Long led Inter City Ladies with a 659 series and also had 622 and 613 over the past couple weeks. Kelly Larsen posted a 646 in the Don McIvor Memorial league.

Kristen Winkler edged out Kelly Larsen for high game as they threw 258 and 256, respectively. Deanna Worden topped her 2021-22 final average by 92 pins with a 255 game in the Wednesday Night league at Colony Bowl. Sam Hendrick conquered the worst pair of lanes in St. Clair County with a 254 game. Makayla Schroeder had two nice games of 245 and 224 on her way to a 613 series in the Don McIvor Memorial league at Port Huron Lanes. Terry Crampton had 242.

Brian Krauss took high series of the week with a 771 in 3-B4-1 at Port Huron Lanes. Josh Bombard had 770 in the McIvor league. Cliff Crawford led Cowboys & Indians with a 769 on the best pair of lanes in St. Clair County. Keith Crane paced PHL Early 4 Man with a 755 series. Jerry Hendrick led all bowlers in Saturday Nite Bridge with a 753 series that included a 289 game.

Johnnie Angerbrandt and Jim Gostovich rolled 289 games. Three bowlers had 280, including Adam Digon, Chuck Ouellette, and Brian Krauss. There were 279s from Cliff Crawford (twice), Tyler Fields, Steve McCoy, Craig Boucher, and Tim Firchau. Cody Hawks, Jose Ganhs, Henry Sullivan, Ray Lavere, Dave Conger, Cory Smith, Ryan Madajczyk, and Rob Tessmer each shot 278 games. Five others reached 277 including Rich Barr, PJ Hollis, Robert Smith, Jim Hazelton, and Tom Morris. There were a trio of 276’s by Jerry Beery, Kris Brunelle, and Cory Smith. Rounding out the outstanding games were Justin Badley and Michael Ganhs, who each had 275.
Special Mention: John Fife rolled his first 700 series with a 701 in the Blue Water Mens league at St. Clair River Lanes.
Upcoming tournaments: Senior Singles will be Oct. 22 at Port Huron Lanes, with qualifying at noon and finals to immediately follow. The Memorial Trio tournament will be Nov. 12 at Colony Bowl, with two shifts available (10 a.m. and 1 p.m.). Combined average for the three teammates must be 645 or lower. Finally, the Fall Senior Nonsenior tournament will be Nov. 20 at Port Huron Lanes, with qualifying shifts at 9 a.m. and noon and finals to immediately follow. Entry forms for those tournaments are at all local bowling centers or online at phba.net.
