Car hits garba revellers, 1 killed

Rajkot: A 20-year-old woman was killed and 10 people were injured when a car hit them while they were returning home on foot after attending a garba event in Dared area of Jamnagar on Wednesday night. According to police, the incident took place around 11.15pm on Jamnagar-Lalpur road.
“The driver lost control of the car and hit the group. After hitting the people, the vehicle overturned and the driver ran away,” said a police official.

The deceased was identified as Alu Charan. The injured, including children, were out of danger.
The Panchkoshi B division police registered an FIR against Jetha Nagshi Gadhvi based on the registration number of the car. It is believed that the car driver was in an inebriated condition.
