The NSE Nifty index ended the session 17.15 points down at 17314.65, while BSE Sensex fell 30.81 points to 58191.29.
In the Nifty index, .(up 5.31 per cent), .(up 1.50 per cent), .(up 1.06 per cent), .(up 1.04 per cent) and .(up 0.88 per cent) stood among the top gainers.
On the other hand, Ltd.(down 1.69 per cent), .(down 1.63 per cent), Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd.(down 1.52 per cent), Mahindra & .(down 1.44 per cent) and .(down 1.33 per cent) were among the top losers of the day.
