GURUGRAM: The
Haryana government will help semi-skilled and skilled youth of the state to get employment abroad. The Haryana Overseas Placement Cell will execute the work. And those from the economically backward background with family income of less than Rs 1.8 lakh per annum will be given preference.
Chief minister Manohar Lal Khattar said on Thursday that he held meetings with major placement companies during his recent visit to Dubai. “As per the requirements of these placement companies, our youth will be trained and sent abroad for employment,” he said.
Sharing the details of his three-day Dubai trip, the CM said that it was a “mission tour” to make Haryana a leading destination for investors and create a seamless business environment. Besides these, the tour was also aimed at exploring skill-based employment opportunities for the youth of the state.
“Talks have been held with eight placement companies to provide employment opportunities to the state's youth. We are ready to impart necessary training,” he said.
The CM said that the youth who are coming out of skill universities and various skill development centres will benefit from these opportunities. “The state government is also ready to extend cooperation to companies willing to set up their skill training centres in Haryana.”
“In just 14 hours of our visit, one of the companies contacted us for providing manpower for housekeeping jobs. We are working to provide the required manpower,” said Khattar. For these jobs, priority would be given to the Antyodaya families who are registered on the Parivar Pehchan Patra portal.
