Bengaluru: Four arrested with Rs 40 lakh cash

BENGALURU: Four persons landed in police custody with Rs 40 lakh unaccounted money at Chandra Layout on Sunday.
Lingesh, 53, of Channapatna, and Pradeep, 54, of RT Nagar, both real estate businessmen, and Syam Santhosh, 27, of Krishnagiri, and Vetrivel A, 37, of Dharmapuri in Tamil Nadu, were allegedly trying to exchange Rs 500 denomination notes with those of Rs 2,000 ones near a park.
Cops spotted four persons standing next to a car near a park. They behaved suspiciously after noticing the policemen. When they boarded the car and tried to drive away, cops stopped them. The car and the suspects were taken to the police station. Police found Rs 40 lakh, all in Rs 500 notes, in the car.
