KIOCL extends ₹2cr in CSR aid
Mangaluru: As part of corporate social responsibility (CSR), KIOCL Limited extended financial support to the tune of Rs 2 crore for various purposes in the district, on Thursday.
At a function held at the deputy commissioner’s office, Dakshina Kannada MP Nalin Kumar Kateel handed over the cheques to the beneficiary organisations. According to a statement from KIOCL, under its CSR initiative being executed for the year 2022-23, it has sanctioned funds towards dialysis units to Wenlock District Hospital, construction of two classrooms at Maniakara and Kavoor PU College, Bolero vehicle to Childline 1098, conduct repair jobs at ANMTC building at Wenlock District Hospital, and Mangala Seva Samithi, Kuthar, provide X-ray machine to Community Health Centre, Vamadapadavu, Bantwal, and the renovation of counselling hall at police quarters, Mangaluru.
Kateel hailed KIOCL for creating jobs for locals, and for the help extended during the Covid-19 pandemic. Deputy commissioner KV Rajendra also acknowledged the contributions of the KIOCL, in improving the facilities at Wenlock District Hospital.
