Rajasthan: Heavyweights of India Inc to attend 'Invest Raj' meet today
Domain experts and top government officials will speak at the event.
JAIPUR: Corporate heavyweights such as L N Mittal, Anil Agarwal, Gautam Adani, C K Birla, Sanjiv Bajaj and Praveer Sinha have flown in to take part in the two-day 'Invest Rajasthan' summit that starts from Friday. More than 4,000 delegates, a majority of them from the business community, are expected to attend the summit.
Unlike past investor summits in the state and the country, no MoUs will be signed during the event. Rather, the inauguration of 51 groundbreaking industrial units have been planned.
The state government will also inaugurate 25 more new industrial areas, unveil two policies - Rajasthan Investment Promotion Scheme (RIPS) 2022 and non-resident Rajasthanis (NRRs), and honour six personalities with the Rajasthan Ratna award for bringing glory to the state on the first day of the event.

Ashok Gehlot to attend session on NRRs, unveil policy
Five parallel conclaves have been planned during the second half of the first day where experts, business leaders, and government officials will deliberate on opportunities and challenges in sectors such as tourism, startups, agri business, future ready sectors, and NRRs.
In the inaugural session that starts from 10.30am, about nine business leaders will speak besides CM Ashok Gehlot, industries minister Shakuntala Rawat, and ACS industries Veenu Gupta who will make a presentation.
The CM will also attend the parallel session on NRRs where he will unveil the new policy. Announcements of philanthropic activities by NRRs will also be made at this session.
In the tourism conclave, principal secretary of the department Gayatri Rathore will address the participants. Puneet Chhatwal, managing director and CEO of Indian Hotels Company Ltd, will speak on 'Twin Challenges: Sustainable & Responsible Tourism' while Jaisal Singh, founder of Sujan, will throw light on niche tourism. The session will be moderated by Sunil Mehta of Tree House Resorts.
The future ready sectors conclave will be an industry-focused event which will provide a platform to leaders of different domains to share their thoughts on futuristic sectors such as recycling, EV, green Energy, etc. The session will focus on the measures required for sustainable industrial development. Key speakers of the conclave include co-founder of Infosys Kris Gopalakrishnan and Gravita India founder Rajat Agarwal.
Similarly, domain experts and government officials have been lined up as speakers for agri business and startup conclaves.
