One tests positive for Covid in dist

Ludhiana: One person tested positive for Covid-19 in Ludhiana on Thursday.
Health department officials said as no Covid-related death took place in Ludhiana on Thursday, total number of deaths of the district till date were 3,017 whereas the number of deaths of outer districts/state in Ludhiana hospitals was 1,141.
Officials added that till date 39,88,294 persons had been tested following suspicion in Ludhiana district. Local health department officials said till Thursday, the total number of patients from Ludhiana district was 1,13,550 whereas with the number of cases from outer districts/states were 15,290.
Civil Surgeon said that till now 1,10,518 Covid positive patients have recovered in Ludhiana district which constitutes 97.33% of the total cases.
Meanwhile, health department officials said that there are 15 active patients in the district at present. They added that on Thursday the number of samples taken was 1,338.
