GAIL share price down 1.09 per cent

Shares of GAIL (India) Ltd. traded 1.09 per cent up at Rs 86.55 at around 01:14PM (IST) on Friday. The stock had closed at Rs 87.5 in the previous session. Equity benchmark Sensex traded 181.15 points lower at 58040.95 around the same time.


The scrip has declined 18.68 per cent in the last one year till date, while the 30-share index has slipped -2.85 per cent during the same period.

The stock's 52-week high price stood at Rs 115.63 and the 52-week low price at Rs 83.0.

Trading volume on the counter stood at 170,803 shares, while it quoted a price-to-earnings ratio of 4.24, an EPS value of 20.34 and a price-to-book value of 1.08. In the Nifty50 pack, 19 stocks traded in the green, while 31 stocks were in the red.

Promoter/FII Holding
Promoters held 51.89 per cent stake in the company as of 30-Jun-2022, while foreign institutional investors and mutual funds' ownership stood at 19.92 per cent and 8.47 per cent, respectively.

Key Financials
For the quarter ended 30-Jun-2022, the company reported consolidated sales of Rs 37987.96 crore, up 37.35 per cent from the previous quarter's Rs 27657.93 crore and up 114.8 per cent from the year-ago quarter's Rs 17685.24 crore. The company reported net profit of Rs 3252.95 crore for the latest quarter.
