YSR Telangana Party chief alleges corruption in Kaleshwaram Lift Irrigation Project

Addressing the media persons in New Delhi, YS Sharmila, YSR Telangana Party chief and sister of Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy, on October 07 alleged corruption in the Kaleshwaram Lift Irrigation Project (KLIP) of the Telangana government. “I am here to highlight the biggest scam in India that is the Kaleshwaram Lift Irrigation Project scam which is bigger as it’s not just virtual money but also physical money that cost the exchequer. Tune of money involved is Rs 1.2 lakh crore,” she said. She added, “Kaleshwaram Project was the brainchild of my father but it has been distorted in every form and design. Of the Rs 1.2 lakh crore invested in this, around Rs 1 Lakh Crore came from central financial institutions. We met CBI Director and he assigned a DIG rank officer to look into the corruption.”
