VARANASI: The ENT department of the Institute of Medical Sciences, Banaras Hindu University will organise a three-day live workshop with hands-on training at KN Udupa auditorium from October 7 to 9.
The organising secretary, Dr SK Aggarwal said that the renowned ENT and skull base surgeon Dr Narayan Jaishanker from Mumbai, Dr Rajesh Vishwakarma from Ahmedabad and many other eminent ENT personalities from across the country will be attending the workshop as faculties.
They will deliver lectures and demonstrate live surgeries on the latest technologies. In addition, the students will also get an opportunity to get hands-on surgical experience on cadavers in the guidance of these faculties. This will be a lifetime experience for them, he added.
“This is for the first time a workshop of this magnitude is being organised in the east UP region. After such a proper training, even those surgeries can be performed in Varanasi which were previously only possible in the metro cities,” said Dr Aggarwal.
The workshop is being organised under the presidentship of the head of the department of ENT, Prof Rajesh Kumar. The department of Anatomy, IMS-BHU has extended its active support for the workshop.
