Vadilal Industries(up 4.88%), Zydus Wellness(up 3.65%), Jyothy Labs(up 3.37%), DFM Foods(up 1.53%), Bajaj Consumer(up 1.47%), Mrs Bectors Food Specialities(up 1.31%), TATA CONSUMER PRODUCTS(up 1.17%), Dodla Dairy(up 1.13%), Parag Milk(up 1.04%) and Tasty Bite Eatables(up 0.80%) stood among the top gainers.
Godrej Consumer Products(down 4.79%), Future Consumer(down 2.70%), Hindustan Unilever(down 2.02%), Colgate Palmolive(India)(down 1.83%), Prataap Snacks(down 1.67%), Dangee Dums(down 1.65%), Dabur India(down 1.34%), Britannia Industries(down 1.33%), Umang Dairies(down 1.30%) and JHS Svendgaard Laboratories(down 1.29%) were among the top losers of the day.
The NSE Nifty50 index ended 57.5 points up at 17331.8, while the 30-share BSE Sensex closed up 156.63 points at 58222.1.
JSW Steel(up 4.86%), Hindalco Industries(up 4.72%), Coal India(up 4.59%), Tata Steel(up 2.37%), Larsen & Toubro(up 2.21%), ICICI Bank(up 2.05%), HCL Technologies(up 1.96%), Infosys(up 1.8%), Axis Bank(up 1.66%) and Tata Motors(up 1.52%) stood among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.
On the other hand, Bharti Airtel(down 2.49%), Hindustan Unilever(down 2.02%), IndusInd Bank(down 1.51%), HDFC(down 1.42%), Britannia Industries(down 1.33%), Divis Laboratories(down 1.25%), SBI Life(down 1.23%), Bajaj Finance(down 1.13%), HDFC Bank(down 1.1%) and Power Grid Corporation of India(down 1.03%) closed in the red.
