Skeletal remains found at Ambeghat

Margao: Quepem police have recovered the skeletal remains of a human body wrapped in a plastic bag in the forest of Ambeghat on the road leading to Canacona from Netravali.
Police said that the forensic experts confirmed the body to be that of a female.
The body was found in a mutilated and decomposed condition, police sources said.
Police sources said that on Wednesday afternoon, a person passing by that road spotted the bag containing the skeletal remains lying on the roadside, and informed the police.
A team of Quepem police then rushed to the site, and requisitioned the services of the forensic department.
Police suspect that the woman may have died nearly a month ago.
