Shutterstock.comNEW DELHI: Several stocks plunged in excess of 5 per cent in Mumbai trading on Thursday even as equity benchmark BSE Sensex traded 156.63 points up at 58222.1 amid brisk buying in frontline bluechip counters.
On the BSE, Asian Hotels(E)(down 18.60 per cent), Relicab Cable Manufa(down 14.55 per cent), Simplex Mills(down 10.00 per cent), Aryaman Capital(down 9.98 per cent) and Paramone Concepts(down 9.88 per cent) stood among the top losers in today's trade.
In the Nifty pack, 28 stocks closed in the green, while 22 stocks ended in the red.
The index closed 57.5 points up at 17331.8.
On the BSE, , , , Gala Global Prod and hit their fresh 52-week lows, while , , Venus Pipes & ., and Intnl Travel touched their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade.
