After a long wait, Google has finally launched its first smartwatch, Pixel Watch. The smartwatch comes with a round shaped dial and is made of 80 per cent recycled stainless steel, aligning with tech giant's sustainability goals.
The Google Pixel Watch starts at $349 (Rs 28,653 approximately) for the Bluetooth variant, while the LTE variant is priced at $399 (Rs 32,758 approximately). The smartwatch will be available to pre-order from October 6 in select countries.
The new smartwatch by Google runs on WearOS and comes packed with Fitbit features. With Google Pixel Watch, you will be able to assess your heart rhythm for AFib with the ECG app, Provide peace-of-mind for you and your loved ones with Emergency SOS.
"The Pixel Watch with Fitbit gives you an accurate measurement of your heart rate continuously at once per second—whether you're working out or at rest—while still maintaining an all-day battery life of up to 24 hours,” Google said at the ‘Made by Google’ tech launch event on Thursday.
Users will also be able to check out the personalised Wellness Report and Health Metrics Dashboard on the Google Pixel Watch. With this feature, all your crucial wellness metrics like heart rate variability, breathing rate, and resting heart rate will appear right on your smartwatch.
The new round-faced Pixel Watch, made from stainless steel and glass with dozens of wristband options, enables contactless payments, music control and turn-by-turn directions.
