Haryana: Two murdered in separate cases in Panipat

KARNAL: Two people were reportedly murdered in different cases in the Panipat district.
In the first case, a 38-year-old man was shot dead at Desraj colony in Panipat late on Wednesday night. The deceased has been identified as Dinesh.
On the complaint of the family members, police booked nine people on charges of murder.
In his complaint to the police, the deceased's brother, Joginder Singh alleged that late on Wednesday night, Parveen along with Chintu, Sunil, Rakesh, Mintu, Sadhu, Bholoo, Sonu, Tinku, Sandeep, and others, entered their house and beat their father over an old enmity.
It is alleged that when they went to the accused's home to complain about it, the women of the accused's family started raining bricks on them and the men started open firing on them. Dinesh received the bullet and was taken to a hospital where the doctor declared him dead.
After getting the information, the police team reached the spot and started the investigation.
Phool Kumar, SHO, Tehsil Camp police station, said that a case has been registered against 9 persons under sections 302, 323, 452, 148, 149, and 506 of the IPC and Arms Act. The body has been handed over to the family members after the postmortem examination. The investigation is on.
In another case, a railway employee was stabbed to death and his friend injured after a group of youths attacked them on Sanoli Road in Panipat city on Wednesday night.
The deceased has been identified as Manpreet (23), a resident of Ugra Kheri village in Panipat district. The injured person has been identified as Munish.
The source said that the incident took place during the procession of Hanuman Jhanki.
Himmat Singh, the deceased uncle, said that an argument had taken place between the accused and the deceased over some issue during the possession. The accused attacked Manpreet and his friend with sticks and sharp-edged weapons. They were taken to a hospital where Manpreet succumbed to his injuries, while Munish is undergoing treatment at a hospital.
A video that went viral on social media purportedly shows some youths dancing to the beat of a Punjabi song while waving sticks and other weapons in the air.
Mahipal, SHO, Chandnibagh police station, a case has been registered against Arvind Gujjar and 6 others under sections 148, 149, 302, 307, and 323 of the Indian Penal Code. The video is being verified, and the accused will be nabbed soon. The investigation is on.
