Ex-flames Ranbir Kapoor and Katrina Kaif recently attended a lavish Navratri puja organised by the Kalyanaraman family (owner of the popular Kalyan Jewellers brand) in Kerala. Photos of the former couple went viral on social media and many (former and present) RanKat fans felt nostalgic on seeing their favourite jodi share the stage.
However, the exes decided to maintain social distance and steered clear of each other. Both Kapoor and Kaif were seen posing with the hosts and other guests such as R.Madhavan, Nagarjuna etc.
The pictures went viral as soon as they hit social media. Fans of the couple got emotional at seeing the two share the same frame after nearly eight years. One social media user wrote, “ These two have such chemistry. Wish they would do a film together.” Another fan wrote, “Small world, I guess…”

The duo, however, decided not to court any controversy and sidestepped each other at the event.
Kapoor and Kaif were in a relationship for three years from 2013 onwards. They were a successful on-screen couple, and had starred in hit films such as ‘Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani’ and ‘Rajneeti’. However their last on-screen venture ‘Jagga Jasoos’ (directed by Anurag Basu) turned out to be a box-office dud.
Although their break-up was bitter, both of them have managed to move on. Kaif is married to ‘Uri’ actor Vicky Kaushal. Kapoor tied the knot with his ‘Brahmastra’ co-star Alia Bhatt earlier this year, and the couple is now expecting their first child.
On the work front, Kapoor is basking in the success of his latest movie ‘Brahmastra’. Helmed by Ayan Mukerji, the epic fantasy film has emerged as the top-grossing Hindi movie of 2022, with a worldwide box-office collection of Rs 425 crore. Kapoor has an interesting line-up that consists of Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s thriller drama ‘Animal’, Luv Ranjan’s untitled romcom (co-starring Shraddha Kapoor) and the sequel to ‘Brahmastra’. Kaif is busy with her next film, ‘Phone Bhoot’ which will release in the theatres next month. .
