Two caught for 17L ATM theft

Rajkot: Two people have been arrested by the special operation group (SOG) of Rajkot for stealing Rs 17 lakh from an ATM of a nationalized bank in Jasdan town of Rajkot district last month. One of the accused had committed suicide during interrogation.
The police arrested Dhaval Sakariya (20) an imitation jewellery artisan, and Nikhil Trivedi (23) doing labour work. According to the police, the two accused were friends of deceased Jaypur Goswami who committed suicide. Goswami was working as a loader in the ATM, which was functioning on ATM key and password. Goswami gave the key and passwords to these two accused a month ago. They went to the ATM on September 6 and stole Rs 17.33 lakh.
Goswami along with two other persons, who were assigned the responsibility by an agency hired by the bank to load the cash in the ATM, pinned their suspicion on all three.
