Jaipur: Chief minister Ashok Gehlot on Tuesday claimed that out of 2,722 budget announcements in the last four years, approvals have been issued for 2,429 (89 percent) and 2,067 (76 percent) announcements implemented.
He directed the officials to complete the remaining announcements soon while directing that not a single person should be deprived of the benefits of the schemes by publicizing the schemes. He directed the departmental officers to take feedback from the general public and execute them in a better way.
He was addressing the review meeting of budget announcements at the Government Secretariat on Tuesday.
Gehlot said that the Chief Minister Chiranjeevi Health Insurance Scheme, Free Nirogi Rajasthan Yojana, Chiranjeevi Accident Insurance Scheme, Chief Minister Anupriti Coaching Scheme, OPS, RGHS, free electricity up to 50 units, Mukhyamantri Kisan Mitra Energy Scheme, organizing Rajiv Gandhi Rural Olympic Games, schemes like Mukhyamantri Kanyadan Yojna, formation of ERCP Corporation, State Women Policy-2021, Silicosis Policy, Handicraft Policy, Industrial Development Policy, Rajasthan Investment Promotion Scheme and Small Industries Promotion Scheme have led to all-round development of every region of the state.
The Chief Minister said that till now about 70,000 people have got employment under the Indira Gandhi Urban Employment Guarantee Scheme, which started on September 9, this year. Currently, 870 Indira Rasoi operates in the state, 1,645 Mahatma Gandhi English Medium Schools, 211 new Government Colleges, out of which 94 Girls Colleges have been opened. Besides upgrading 4,441 secondary schools to higher secondary and opening 42 new agricultural colleges, students are being provided the opportunity to study nearby.
He said that education, health, water, electricity, roads and social security are the priority of the government. Gehlot directed the PWD officials to complete the road repair work before Diwali and strengthen the quality control wing.
Gehlot said the upcoming budget will be focused on youth and students. tnn
