City will host Art Fest from Oct 12 to 16

Gurgaon: Kala Gram, the cultural wing of the district administration, is organising “Art Fest” which will be held from October 12 to 16 at amphitheater in Sector 29. Car manufacturer Hyundai will be the partner organiser of the event.
The five-day fest will see workshops, exhibitions and cultural programmes by artists from different states in the evening.
Deputy commissioner Nishant Yadav on Monday reviewed preparations for the fest. “The Art Fest will provide a platform to artists and help in promoting art and culture in the city,” he said.
Shikha, a member of Kala Gram, said the Art Fest will have free entry and every evening, there will be different cultural programmes.
MCG has been asked to clean the area, while HSVP will make arrangements for lighting. The civil defence team will manage the parking area.
“The authorities should keep organizing such events. Several private events do get organized in Gurgaon, but there was a need for such public events also,” Manish Sharma, a resident of Sector 40, said.
