Man gets 5 yrs for molesting girl

Vadodara: A man was sentenced to five years of imprisonment for molesting a minor girl three years ago. Sagar Rana, a resident of Golwad, was convicted by the court on October 1, but the order was made public on Monday. Rana was arrested by Karelibaug police in 2019.
According to case details, Rana had molested a 15-year-old girl while teaching her how to drive a two-wheeler.
The accused, who was riding pillion, groped the girl leaving her shocked.
Police said that after the incident, Rana began harassing her following which the girl confided in her mother. Rana used to stalk the girl and started threatening her when she went to school. When the stalking didn’t stop, the girl’s mother filed a police complaint.
The cops collected evidences against Rana and booked him under various sections of IPC and POCSO Act. tnn
