Husband detained for abetting wife’s suicide

Jaipur: A day after a 30-year-old woman, working as senior officer at a bank was found dead inside her apartment situated in Muhana area, police on Monday detained her husband. He is being interrogated for abetment of suicide.
Police stated that the preliminary medical report suggested that it was a case of suicide as no evidence citing it to be a murder case is found so far. Police had also found a suicide note beside her.
Surbhi Kumawat, posted at a leading bank in the city was found dead at 7.30 am at her apartment and her husband Shahid Ali informed the police about it. “Prima facie it appears to be a clear case of suicide and the husband is responsible for abetment of suicide. He has been detained and is being questioned.” said Muhana SHO Lakhan Singh Khatana.
“He was called in the morning and as of now he is now in our custody. He is changing his statements every now and then and is trying to mislead us in the investigation. However it is clear that his arrest is inevitable,” he added.TNN
