MUMBAI: For the the eight last days, various agencies of Mumbai police have been collecting intelligence inputs and securing Shivaji Park in Dadar and MMRDA grounds in BKC where Shiv Sena president Uddhav Thackeray and chief minister Eknath Shinde will host their respective Dussehra rallies on Wednesday.
More than 2,000 personnel will be deployed on bandobast duty from the 93 city police stations, EOW, crime branch, bomb disposal squad, SRPF and Rapid Action Force, along with intelligence sleuths. Security will be beefed up to ensure there are no clashes between the two factions.
Police expect around 4,000 buses and 10,000 small and big vehicles to enter the city from across the state for the rallies. Traffic police have chalked out traffic diversions from Shivaji Park and BKC, but are yet to release the details.
