Man blackmails minor boy with pvt videos, extorts ₹13L
Ludhiana: Tibba police booked a man for blackmailing a 16-year-old boy and extorting Rs 12.71 lakh in cash, mobile phone and jewellery from him. The accused had recorded objectionable videos of the boy with a woman and threatened to make these viral.
The matter came to light when the minor boy, who lived with his uncle, started stealing cash and valuables to give to the accused. The police have lodged an FIR against Mohit Sood of Tibba area on the complaint of the minor boy’s uncle.

In his statement, the teenager’s uncle alleged that cash and jewellery had been going missing stolen from their house for the past sometime. When he asked his nephew about it, he narrated the whole incident. The boy informed that the accused had honey-trapped him and clicked objectionable pictures, recorded videos of him with a woman. The accused had started blackmailing him for the money. The accused also threatened him that he will make the videos and pictures viral on social networking sites if he did not give him the money.
According to the boy, the accused had extorted Rs 12.71 lakh in cash, two gold rings, two gold earrings, a gold chain, gold bracelet and a mobile phone.
ASI Sham Singh said an FIR under Sections 384 (extortion) and 506 (criminal intimidation) of Indian Penal Code (IPC) has been lodged against the accused.
