TNSTC bus overturns near Anaikatti, none injured
Coimbatore: The passengers of a Tamil Nadu State Transport Corporation (TNSTC) bus heading towards Anaikatti from Gandhipuram had a lucky escape when the vehicle overturned near Anaikatti on Sunday morning.
The government bus left Gandhipuram around 5am with three passengers, driver M Karthikeyan, 40, of Chinniyampalayam and conductor S Aruchamy, 47, of Kinathukadavu.
“While passing through the Anaikatti Ghat Road, the steering wheel got locked and the bus fell on the left side. The passengers and the bus employees managed to get out of the bus. No one was injured,” a police officer said.
TNSTC officials removed the bus from the road using a crane around 8am.
The Thadagam police have registered a case and further inquiry into the incident is on.
