Stock market update: FMCG stocks mixed as market falls

NEW DELHI: FMCG stocks were trading mixed on Monday at 10:09AM

Nakoda Group(up 4.93%), Hindustan Foods(up 2.20%), Heritage Foods(up 2.09%), Varun Beverages(up 1.49%), Prataap Snacks(up 1.42%), Euro India Fresh Foods(up 1.08%), Zydus Wellness(up 0.93%), Dangee Dums(up 0.88%), JHS Svendgaard Laboratories(up 0.87%) and Jyothy Labs(up 0.82%) were among the top gainers.

Future Consumer(down 2.70%), Nestle India(down 1.85%), Hindustan Unilever(down 1.55%), TATA CONSUMER PRODUCTS(down 1.50%), Vadilal Industries(down 1.49%), Britannia Industries(down 1.13%), Dabur India(down 1.11%), ADF Foods(down 1.10%), Marico(down 1.06%) and Godrej Consumer Products(down 1.03%) were among the top losers.

The NSE Nifty50 index was trading 130.9 points down at 16963.45, while the 30-share BSE Sensex was down 491.43 points at 56935.49 at around 10:09AM.

Oil & Natural Gas Corporation(up 5.64%), NTPC(up 1.69%), Divis Laboratories(up 1.42%), Enterprises(up 1.21%), Coal India(up 1.15%), Cipla(up 0.88%), Sun Pharmaceutical Industries(up 0.86%), Bharat Petroleum Corporation(up 0.56%), Hero MotoCorp(up 0.56%) and Dr Reddys Laboratories(up 0.44%) were among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.

On the other hand, Hindalco Industries(down 2.34%), Kotak Mahindra Bank(down 2.01%), Nestle India(down 1.81%), IndusInd Bank(down 1.76%), Infosys(down 1.6%), SBI Life(down 1.55%), Hindustan Unilever(down 1.55%), Maruti Suzuki(down 1.54%), Larsen & Toubro(down 1.53%) and TATA CONSUMER PRODUCTS(down 1.49%) were trading in the red.
