HAZARIBAG: Four
pilgrims from Odisha were killed and 35 others were injured when the bus they were travelling in collided with a truck in
Jharkhand's Hazaribag district on the intervening night of October 1 and 2.
The deceased were identified as Menaka Pradhan (70), Anusuriya Naik (60), Pankajini Parera (52) and Monu Behera (62).
Hazaribag superintendent of police Manoj Ratan Chothe on Sunday said that the bus was carrying 50 pilgrims from Gaya to Odisha. The incident occurred late on Saturday when the bus driver, while negotiating a sharp turn, lost control of the vehicle near Bahumar, around 110 km from Ranchi, Chothe added.
