Gurugram: 1 dead as building collapses in Udyog Vihar Phase-I

GURUGRAM: A building that was being demolished collapsed in Udyog Vihar Phase-I in Gurugram on Monday.
"A total of four labourers were trapped in the debris. While two have been rescued safely, one body too has been retrieved. One labourer is still trapped inside and attempts are being made to rescue him. Compensation will be given as per rules," said DC Nishant Yadav.

SDRF teams are present at the spot to assist and help with the rescue work.
"It was an old building that was being demolished since September 26. It was a three-floor high building of which 2 floors had been demolished. Remaining part collapsed under which 3 laborers were trapped. One has been rescued," said Deepak Saharan, DCP West.
