Jharkhand: Bokaro Steel Limited to sponsor Indian team for Special Olympics

BOKARO: Bokaro Steel Limited said it would sponsor the Indian national contingent taking part in 2023 Special Olympics to be held in Germany.
BSL management on Friday inked a memorandum of agreement (MoA) with Special Olympics Bharat (SoB) for the sponsorship. The amount would be Rs 3 crore. As many as 250 specially-abled athletes will be part of the Indian contingent. “SAIL-BSL will bear all the expenses related to the participation of the Indian contingent in the Berlin Special Olympics,” BSL’s chief of communications Manikant Dhan said.
The special Olympics will have 14 sporting disciplines, SoB’s regional director Satbir Singh Sahota said.
