PUNE: Pune crime branch officials on Sunday claimed to have solved the murder of Sunil Nalavade (54) of the Bhairoba Nala area in Fatimanagar after arresting four men.
The photocopy machine repair technician was found motionless at 8.30pm on Friday in Narhe and died later at Sassoon hospital. CCTV footage revealed that he was kicked and punched by five men, who came to the spot in an SUV.
A police team arrested Mahesh Shankarrao Dhumal (32) of Shirur, Shivraj Kishor Prasad Singh (32) of Vadgaon Mawal, Shivaji Rangappa Tumale (56) of Phursungi, and Akshay Popat Adhav (22) of Parner in Ahmednagar after studying CCTV footage.
A probe showed that the victim had taken money from the men with the lure of jobs.
