HYDERABAD: Four minors drowned in a local water body in Yacharam on Sunday, which they went visiting on their way back from a dargah. While there was a fifth
child in the group, he was unharmed.
Residents of Gollaguda village, the
children - aged between 8 and 14 years - had gone to a dargah to offer prayers with their parents, about a km away from their house.
On their way back, the parents stopped at a field. Meanwhile, the children, without waiting for them, walked ahead to a water body. According to cops, the children while playing, accidentally slipped into the lake and drowned. Since the fifth boy, also a minor, did not venture into the lake he survived. There was nobody else present there, at the time of the incident.
