Jaipur: The Rajasthan High Court rejected the plea of granting age relaxation in future recruitment due to
Covid be extended to pending recruitments.
The division bench of acting chief justice MM Shrivastava and Vinod Kumar Bharwani rejected the plea of stay on the notification and asked the government to file a reply within three weeks. The court order followed a petition by Rakesh Gadhwal and others.
The state government, last month on September 23 issued a notification extending age relaxation to those who completed 40 years on December 31, 2020 up to December 31, 2024 to apply for government jobs to compensate for the years lost due to Covid. But the relaxation would be applicable prospectively and not the recruitment already under process. TNN
