AHMEDABAD: The South Western Air Command Headquarters of the Indian Air Force has organized, ‘Know Your Air Force’, a three-day exhibition beginning October 1.
The exhibition was inaugurated by Governor Acharya Devvrat on Saturday and was attended by Air Marshal Vikram Singh, air officer commanding-in-chief, South Western Air Command.
The exhibition will be open to the public on Sunday and Monday from 10am to 6pm at the SWAC Communication Flight, near the Jogni Mata Temple, Air Cargo Road, Ahmedabad.
The exhibition comprises static displays of various assets of the Indian Air Force such as aircraft, missiles, weaponry systems, radars among others.
Apart from these, the induction publicity exhibition vehicle (specialist vehicle giving an insight into the Indian Air Force) and a flying simulator (a gaming console on aircraft flying) have also made available for students and visitors.
The Air Force Band will perform on all the days of the event.
Pamphlets with information regarding career opportunities in the Indian Air Force will be distributed to students, a release from the Air Force said.
