Indiscipline on campus not to be tolerated, says Banaras Hindu University vice-chancellor

VARANASI: Vice-Chancellor of Banaras Hindu University Prof. Sudhir Kumar Jain held a meeting of administrative wardens and officials of various hostels here on Friday. He reviewed the state of student amenities and directed that all necessary and possible measures be taken to ensure smooth and easy availability and accessibility to these facilities. The VC said that there will be a zero tolerance policy towards indiscipline in hostels and university campus and any attempt to disturb the teaching-learning atmosphere will be dealt with sternly.
He cautioned against any kind of illegal occupancy in hostels and said strict action will be initiated against those staying in hostels illegally and those facilitating it. The vice-chancellor called upon hostel administrators to make efforts to ensure that students are benefited with new initiatives taken for them. He said that teachers must make sure that students use their time and energy positively and constructively and get the best of campus life.
