MeitY’s Indian Computer Emergency Response Team (Cert-In) has asked Indian citizens to be vary of vulnerabilities detected in Google Chrome for desktop.
The said Google Chrome vulnerabilities have been given a severity rating of ‘HIGH’ by Cert-In.
The multiple vulnerabilities reported on the browser for desktop can be exploited by remote attackers to bypass security restrictions, execute arbitrary code or cause denial of service condition.
These vulnerabilities have been detected in Chrome versions prior to 106.0.5249.61 for Mac/linux and 106.0.5249.61/62 for Windows.
The national nodal agency for computer security has recommended that people apply the necessary updates released by Chrome to prevent security issues.
