ARA: A 42-year-old BJP functionary Bablu Singh was shot at by unidentified bike-borne criminals on Friday morning when he had gone for a morning walk in Friends' Colony under the Nawada police station area in Ara.
Bablu, a native of Laharpa village under the Garhani police station area in Bhojpur district and son of former mukhiya of Agiyaon panchayat, Prema Devi, is associated with the Panchayati Raj cell of Bhojpur unit of BJP. He is also a contractor dealing in road construction work.
He was rushed to a private hospital where a large number of local BJP activists as well as several candidates contesting for the post of mayor, visited to inquire about his condition.According to Dr Vikash Singh, who is treating Bablu said: “He has been shot at on right chest. Though the bullet has been removed, his condition is very critical.”
