Laura Whitmore, the previous host of Love Island, had announced her resignation in an Instagram post in August. In the post, she announced that she would not be hosting the upcoming season of Love Island.
Whitmore said that she is not able to commit herself for another season due to some parts of the show format like the frequent trips to South Africa and back that had made it particularly challenging for her to manage other new competing projects with the upcoming season of Love Island.
She said that she knows the show will be in good hands. She was only planning to replace Caroline for one series, which eventually turned into three series.
