JAIPUR: As part of a campaign to clean and beautify the city before Invest Rajasthan Summit 2022, Jaipur Municipal Corporation (JMC) Greater has removed 18,836 illegal hoardings, posters, banners from public places.
Mahendra Soni, commissioner JMC Greater said that separate teams have been formed by revenue wing and zone offices along with vigilance wing.
“Work is being done 24 hours in three different shifts to removed illegal hoardings in the city. We have also registered FIRs against offenders and Rs 17,000 has been recovered through fines,”said Soni.
This week, the commissioner inspected several stretches in the city to check the work being done and instructed officials to remove 427 more illegal banners and posters. They were identified during inspection on the route from Ajmeri Gate to JECC Sitapura, Ramniwas Bagh Gate to Airport and Jawahar Circle to Mahal Road.
Meanwhile, JMC Greater mayor Sheel Dhabai on Friday inspected the Hingoniya Gaushala and enquired about the condition of cows affected by lumpy skin disease. tnn
