300 entries for Anshuman Singh Memorial Golf Cup
Jaipur: The inaugural edition of the Late Justice Anshuman Singh Memorial Golf Cup will be organised between September 30 and October 1 at Rambagh Golf Club (RGC) here. More than 300 golfers have sent entries for the tournament.
“We are overwhelmed to receive such a great response including that from the girls, youngsters and veterans. This tournament has also enabled us to start a charitable initiative in India honoring the war widows of the Indian Army, wives of martyrs of Rajasthan Police, and the caddies of the golf club. We are raising funds for a few selected families that will be handed out on October 1 during the trophy presentation time,” said Arun Pratap Singh, son of late Justice Anshuman Singh, during media interaction on Thursday.
Anshuman Singh was Chief Justice of Rajasthan High Court and the former Governor of Gujarat and Rajasthan. The organisers informed they will soon share formation about Justice Anshuman Singh Golf Foundation designed for helping talented kids from underprivileged families. RGC captain Dr Ashok Gupta said that the club feels honoured to host and contribute to the social cause. tnn
