Voters reg process for teachers’ constituency begins today

Nagpur: Collector Dr Vipin Itankar on Thursday declared that the voters’ registration for teachers constituency in the Nagpur division would be taken up from Friday.
The State Election Commission (SEC) has taken up the process of revision of electoral rolls for this constituency in the division.
“Last time, there were 35,000 voters. This year, the goal of increasing this number has been taken up by our team,” Itankar, also the district election officer, said while addressing the media.
He added that the voter should be a resident of Nagpur division comprising six districts. “It would be mandatory for the voter to do teaching work for at least three years from November 1, 2016 to November 1, 2022. The application form will be made available for the voters in the educational institution itself,” Itankar said.
