Jaipur: Even as half a dozen states in the country will have access to 5G services promising high-quality voice and data starting October 1, people in Rajasthan will have to wait.
In the first phase, Prime Minister
Narendra Modi will launch this service in Maharashtra,
Gujarat, Odisha, Ladakh, Delhi,
Uttar Pradesh on October 1. But in Rajasthan, this service is to come in the next phase.
“According to rough estimates, about one lakh new towers will be installed in Rajasthan for 5G technology. Nearly 3 to 4 lakh new mobile stations can be installed on those towers,” said Siddharth Pokharna, senior deputy director general in the department of telecommunications (DoT), Jaipur.
