Prayagraj: The city reported 11 fresh dengue cases on Thursday taking the tally to 159.
Health officials claimed that as many as 128 patients have recovered, 31 others are undergoing treatment.
District malaria officer (Prayagraj) AK Singh said fresh cases were reported from localities like Teliyarganj, Phaphamau, Rasoolabad, Chota Baghara, Jhalwa, Kydganj, Kalindipuram, Preetam Nagar, Bhagwatpur, Meja and Soraon. They are aged between 9 and 65 years.
He added that there were total 31 active cases and 22 of them were hospitalized, including 12 at government hospital and 10 at separate private hospitals.
Nine are reportedly undergoing treatment at home.
District malaria officer (Prayagraj) AK Singh added the health department has taken over dozen localities under its scanner where cases were reported on frequent intervals.
