Stock market update: Power stocks mixed as market rises

NEW DELHI: Power stocks were trading mixed on Friday at 10:34AM

Transformers and Rectifiers(India)(up 6.14%), Inox Wind Energy(up 5.00%), ADANIGREEN(up 4.84%), Power Grid Corporation of India(up 3.29%), Suzlon Energy(up 2.37%), KEC International(up 1.83%), Energy Development Company(up 1.33%), Inox wind(up 1.04%), Kalpataru Power Transmission(up 0.87%) and Indo Tech Transformers(up 0.77%) were among the top gainers.

NHPC(down 3.18%), Adani Transmissions(down 2.62%), Jyoti Structures(down 2.26%), NLC India(down 1.93%), SJVN(down 1.90%), Voltamp Transformers(down 1.59%), Torrent Power(down 1.26%), GE Power India Limited(down 0.95%), DPSC(down 0.76%) and KPI Green Energy(down 0.61%) were among the top losers.

The NSE Nifty50 index was trading 80.25 points up at 16898.35, while the 30-share BSE Sensex was up 288.81 points at 56698.77 at around 10:34AM.

Oil & Natural Gas Corporation(up 3.36%), Power Grid Corporation of India(up 3.29%), Hindalco Industries(up 2.37%), Shree Cement(up 2.08%), UltraTech Cement(up 1.93%), Reliance Industries(up 1.66%), Kotak Mahindra Bank(up 1.57%), Bharat Petroleum Corporation(up 1.43%), HDFC Bank(up 1.35%) and Titan Company Ltd(up 1.21%) were among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.

On the other hand, Asian Paints(down 1.8%), Coal India(down 1.59%), Tata Motors(down 1.47%), Dr Reddys Laboratories(down 1.44%), Tata Consultancy(down 1.37%), Tech Mahindra(down 1.25%), HCL Technologies(down 1.12%), Infosys(down 1.04%), Wipro(down 0.71%) and HDFC LIFE INSURANCE(down 0.52%) were trading in the red.
