Mysuru: Traffic diversions for Jodo Yatra

MYSURU: Mysuru district police have appealed to highway road users traveling from Mysuru to Nanjangud and Gundlupet to take alternate routes owing to Congress party’s Bharat Jodo Yatra from September 30 to October 2.
Superintendent of police R Chethan has stated in a release that the Bharat Jodo Yatra led of Congress leader Rahul Gandhi is expected to arrive at Nanjangud, from neighbouring Begur in Chamarajanagar district on Friday.
Traffic on the highway will be diverted from 7am and 9pm and vehicle users traveling towards Gundlupet from Mysuru are informed to take a deviation near BDA Circle and head towards Goluru- Badanavalu, Kavalande, Badanaguppe, to reach Chamarajanagar and then head to Gundlupet. On October 1, the traffic diversion will be in force from 8am and 9pm.
On October 2, movement of all vehicles from Mysuru to Nanjangud is restricted on National Highway 766 from 2pm to 9pm. Vehicles users must take a deviation at Outer Ring Road and take the T Narasipura Road and to reach Nanjangud and Gundlupet.
The Chamarajanagar district administration has also diverted inter-state traffic in Gundlupet on Friday and Saturday.
