UoM to digitise 70k manuscripts
Mysuru: Vice-chancellor of University of Mysore Prof G Hemantha Kumar on Thursday said that the varsity has taken up the task of digitization of over 70,000 palm leaf manuscripts for its conservation for the benefit of future generations from last February. He was speaking after inaugurating the fumigation of documents centre and one-day workshop on conservation of manuscripts held at Oriental Research Institute(ORI) in the city. The higher education minister CN Ashwathnarayan was present.
Farmers attend session on soil and nutrition
Mysuru: Mallayyanna Giri Farmer Producer Company Limited, a Farmer Producer Organization (FPO) guided by Isha Outreach and supported by National Bank For Agriculture & Rural Development (NABARD), conducted its Annual General Meeting (AGM) on Wednesday in Mysuru. After the AGM, Yogesh, a progressive farmer, led a session on soil and nutrients. More than 100 farmers attended the meet.
